Pink Pumps & Bow Ties Gala Raises Record-Breaking $600,000

Pretty In Pink Foundation hosted its 9th Annual Pink Pumps & Bow Ties Gala on Friday, November 1st, raising a record-breaking $600,000 in support of uninsured and under-insured breast cancer patients across North Carolina.

The sold-out event at the Angus Barn Pavilion welcomed nearly 400 guests for an unforgettable evening featuring live and silent auctions, powerful stories of hope, and a shared mission to make quality, lifesaving treatment accessible to all. Thanks to the incredible generosity of sponsors, donors, and attendees, the funds raised will directly support the Foundation’s mission of providing financial assistance to cover critical medical treatment for breast cancer patients in need.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the compassion and commitment shown by our community,” said Becky Horn, Executive Director of Pretty In Pink Foundation. “The funds raised will have a profound impact, helping to pay for surgery, chemotherapy administration and radiation treatments for breast cancer patients in our state who are battling this deadly disease right now.”

“What began as a small idea to help 10 women in Wake County has grown into a statewide movement of compassion and action,” said Dr. Lisa Tolnitch, founder of Pretty In Pink Foundation. “More than twenty years later, we’ve assisted thousands of breast cancer patients with their critical medical treatments. Seeing so many generous hearts come together to ensure that every patient has the same chance at lifesaving treatment is deeply humbling—and a reminder that hope is strongest when shared.”

The non-profit, founded in 2004, has not turned away a single, qualified applicant. This year’s gala stands as the Foundation’s most successful fundraising event to date, allowing for even greater impact in the year ahead. Click here to watch event highlights.
